For the First Time in 167 years, Railways Not Ferrying Passengers on its 'Birthday' Due to Virus
The Indian Railways passenger train made its maiden journey on April 16, 1853, from Mumbai to nearby Thane and had been providing services even during the World Wars as well as the 1974 railway strike.
